IV STANDARD FIELD TRIP

IV STANDARD FIELD TRIP by Master Rohan D’Cruz
On Friday the 11th February 2011, the IV standard students were taken for a field trip to the Nehru Planetarium and the Nehru Science Centre. The students were accompanied by Mrs. Maria Xavier the Supervisor and Mrs. Carmen a class teacher.

As soon as we reached the Science centre the students went to the Science Lab. The students were indeed surprised to see so many interesting gadgets and experiments. We had a-hands on experience and we enjoyed ourselves thoroughly. After a snack break, we went to the park where there were a variety of animals and birds. The park also had some antique airplanes and trains.

After some time at the Science Centre we then went to the Nehru Planetarium. A guide took us around and explained to us about the solar system and the planets revolving round our Sun. It was a beautiful sight to behold as the model planets were actually revolving around the sun. The guide also explained to us about the Milky Way.

The day was very interesting and it did make an impression on one and all. It was a field trip that we will not forget in a hurry.
